Look at pictures of the two of them and tell me that there is not a rather strong resemblance. At least the Freddie Mercury of the early 80's, you know, the "Another one bites the dust" era when the front man of Queen had the cheesy mustache and the Village People look? In fact, when a co-worker of mine heard the news about Mercury, his exact words were: "Another one bites the dust".According to Borat's "bio" he was born in 1972, before Queen was a household name, the band I mean, but after Freddie Bulsara (Mercury's given name) was an adult. He could have had a liason with a Kazakh prostitute, he was claiming to be hetero then. Look at the images and decide for yourself.
